The United States is at war, a war which, if defeated, will result in the termination of the greatest democratic experiment yet known to the human race. And if the United States does not win this war the result will be a 1000 years of darkness. And yet only half of our nation, and perhaps not even that, know that we are engaged in such a war. And even fewer are convinced that if defeated in this war that we as a nation are in store for a terrible, terrible end. It is with these thoughts that I have created this blog.
I am just a simple country lawyer, and an old one at that. I am perhaps too long in the tooth to start something of this nature. I am technically challenged and not completely educated. I have other pressing obligations. But besides loving my country, nay adoring it, and wanting my family and those that I love to have this treasured nation continue after I am long gone, and having a dog in this fight, perhaps two (something I may explain as time goes on) I am compelled to state, to respond, to answer and to express my observations and tell you of my feelings, my intuitions, my suspicions, my outrage and, at times, to express in words my great abiding love for this country.
By birth I was a blue dog Democrat. By education I was a Socialist. By experience I am a Conservative. As I familiarize myself with this blog I intend to provide others a chance to contribute, to state, to respond and to answer. However, not yet. First I want to state my case and establish the culture of this blog. However, those who stop by will have the opportunity to e-mail me and give me their thoughts. And I will thank you for it.
